What is Grailed Payments?
Grailed Payments is our new payment processing platform. Activate Grailed Payments now to:
- Sell faster by offering more payment methods to buyers, like Apple Pay and debit/credit cards.
- Get direct payouts, sent straight to your bank account.
- Take advantage of full Grailed Protection coverage and end-to-end support, powered by our in-house experts.
Grailed Payments is currently in beta and only available to a limited group of sellers. Check your Settings page to see if you currently have access to the beta.
Eventually, all sellers will need to activate Grailed Payments, to ensure a uniform experience for all members of our community.
Why do I need Grailed Payments if I already have PayPal?
Grailed Payments can help you sell more and more often, by expanding the payment options available to buyers. And we’re just getting started — we’re actively working on new features to make Grailed Payments even more impactful.
By activating Grailed Payments now, you’ll be the first to have access to tools like Buy Now Pay Later (coming soon).
But you don’t need to choose — once activated, Grailed Payments sits alongside PayPal as an option available to eligible buyers on all of your listings.
How do I set up my account to accept Grailed Payments?
Grailed partners with Stripe for secure payments and financial services. To get started, just visit your Grailed Settings page. From there, follow the prompts to connect your account and add your bank details for payouts. It’s that easy!
Not seeing the option to onboard to Stripe? Try disabling any ad-blockers, and avoid using an incognito/private browser window.
Once you’ve successfully onboarded, all eligible buyers will see the option to pay using Apple Pay, credit, or debit card on all of your listings — automatically. There’s nothing else you’ll have to do.
What will buyers see?
Once you’ve activated Grailed Payments, eligible buyers will see the option to pay by Apple Pay, debit, or credit card on your listings.
While in beta, these payment options are only available to a limited group of active, trusted buyers. We’ll continue to expand eligibility over time.
How do I know how much I have sold through Grailed Payments?
We’re working on integrating reporting tools directly into Grailed. For now, the best way to track sales is via the Stripe dashboard.
You can view your Stripe dashboard by clicking the ‘View Dashboard’ link on your Grailed Settings page.
The Stripe dashboard helps you to track sales, total earnings and upcoming payouts via Grailed Payments.
You can also look at your list of sold items to see whether a particular sale was made using Grailed Payments or PayPal.
What are the fees?
Your Grailed Commission rate remains unchanged.
Transactions processed using Grailed Payments are charged the same fee as those processed using PayPal — 3.49% + 49 cents.
Plus, with Grailed Payments, you’ll get access to additional features like Apple Pay, and receive end-to-end, in-house support from our team of Grailed experts.
How do refunds work?
Full and partial refunds can be issued directly via your Grailed messages, transactions, or on the listing page.
You can easily issue a refund from the app or on web.
What if something goes wrong?
All transactions made using Grailed Payments are processed securely and are fully covered by Grailed’s purchase protection.
