Yes, receiving packages is safe.
According to the CDC, the new coronavirus cannot be transmitted through goods manufactured in any country reporting COVID-19 cases. “In general, because of poor survivability of these coronaviruses on surfaces, there is likely very low risk of spread from products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks at ambient temperatures.”
Even still, as shipping and handling could include interactions or exchanges with delivery carriers, we recommend playing it safe. After receiving your package, make sure to dispose of all packaging and materials after opening. As always, make sure to wash your hands (for at least 20 seconds with soap and water) after handling any packages.
