What is the policy?
We consider off-site activity to be any attempt to share contact information in order to take a conversation or transaction off of Grailed.
We highly discourage offering to buy or sell outside of Grailed. Conducting transactions offsite means you are at high risk of fraud, and Grailed Purchase Protection does not cover offsite transactions for buyer or seller.
Buyers and sellers should not share contact information, including email addresses and phone numbers, prior to completing a transaction on Grailed. Buyers and sellers may not solicit users to Grailed competitors or attempt to “avoid the Grailed fee” by completing transactions initiated on Grailed off-site.
If you need to send photos or other information to a user and are unable to do so through the messages, you can always edit the listing you’re selling or reach out to our support team for assistance.
We reserve the right to warn and ban users who attempt to conduct unsafe off-site transactions or violate this policy.
We want to ensure we continue to offer the best service we can and continually improve your experience.
Why did I receive a warning?
Conversations are automatically monitored for words and phrases that may lead to offsite activity.
If you receive a warning, it simply means that your conversation has been flagged for further review. We reserve the right to warn and ban users who attempt to conduct unsafe off-site transactions or violate this policy.
Offers to buy or sell outside of Grailed are a potential fraud risk for both buyers and sellers. Transactions conducted outside of Grailed are not eligible for Grailed Purchase Protection.
